I have over 21 years of experience in legal practice, primarily in family, crime, employment law and superannuation.
The first half of my practising as a lawyer was in personal injuries, superannuation claims, employment and criminal law.
I moved to Broken Hill for 10 years and establishing my own firm focussing on family law, crime and employment law before moving back to Melbourne.
I believe in providing a prompt service to clients focussing on identifying client needs, providing clear and realistic advice in language that a client can understand and an environment in which their needs and interests are supported.
I believe in the fearless advocacy in the representation of clients.
Pursuit of law reform, representation of disadvantaged people, and indigenous rights are also a keen interest of mine – having been a regional President of the Law Society of NSW for some years and an active Committee member of the Law Institute of Victoria in workplace relations, discrimination and personal injuries.
Outside of being a lawyer
I love to travel – whether it be in Australia or overseas. I love exploring and learning about new places, cultures, meeting new people, and getting into humorous misunderstandings with my attempts to speak the local language!
When I am not doing that, I love reading and painting – although I am very busy, so I have to keep buying new bookcases for all the books I buy but haven’t got around to reading (yet!).
