Nick Mann is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law and is a finalist for the Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist of the year, 2017. He has extensive experience representing people in a wide range of personal injury matters, and until December 2016 he was the Head of the Victorian Medical Law Department of Australia’s largest personal injury law firm.
Nick is passionate about the rights of people with disabilities and has been involved in policy and advocacy about the National Disability Insurance Scheme since 2011. He has a Masters in Health and Medical Law, which focused on compensation and disability insurance rights.
In 2013, he took up a role as a Principal Lawyer at the Office of the Attorney General, Samoa. He was responsible for overseeing all civil litigation filed by and against the Government of Samoa, focussing on medical and civil litigation, medical disciplinary matters, and compensation claims.
In 2017 Nick founded Polaris Lawyers, with the vision of creating a personal injury firm that puts injured clients at the centre of everything it did, and which relied on empathetic experts engaging and efficiently guiding injured Victorians through the legal process, to great outcomes.
With significant experience in personal injury compensation, Nick has obtained great results for hundreds of injured Victorians and their families, giving personal service to every client to ensure that they get the compensation they deserve.
As a proud father of identical twin boys, Nick knows about managing his time well, balancing the demands of litigation with the responsibilities of parenthood, as well as the benefits of flexible work for Polaris clients and staff.

Outside of being a lawyer
I’m secretly one of “those” feral Collingwood supporters and I highly recommend having 1 year old twins for curing insomnia. I also love playing a lot of online chess, with a dream of becoming an old man who plays games in the park.
